I believe that wellness is a function of several factors. In order to achieve wellness, you have to evaluate and treat the whole person, not just symptoms or disease states. Allergies stem from external factors as well as internal states. Many things that you consume or do may worsen your reactions to foods and environmental allergens.
My approach to allergies is comprehensive and holistic, but based in science. I don’t think natural treatments need to replace conventional medications, or vice versa. Rather, they should be used to complement each other and hopefully bring better whole body health. To me, a comprehensive allergy evaluation is not just allergy testing, but also a thorough assessment of internal and external factors.
The same treatment does not work for everyone. My aim is to find the right treatment for each individual. I believe that sometimes the path to wellness may be a combination of ancient therapies and cutting edge pharmaceutical products.
I am particularly interested in bridging pharmacological treatments with nutrition and complementary medicines. In addition to pediatric and adult asthma and allergic rhinitis, my areas of expertise also include food allergies, urticaria, eczema, sinusitis, and immunodeficiency.
